    Another Inline Motor

Hello new to the forum, bought a 2018 and this is my first Cummins but not my first diesel or inline motor.

I have had two XJs 4.0 before and a Mercedes CDI the 3.2 inline, really wouldn't have it any other way.

I have used this website quite a bit to sponge some ideas and thought I should make an account to give back, thanks for the add.

If anyone knows any good mods not just power but mods such as a the steering brace and back seat folding to make the truck more enjoyable I am all ears.

Also if you haven't done a steering brace I really recommend it for a first mod, I had under 200 miles on my truck when I put it on and it really changed the way it drove for the better, also Thuren coils for the front leveling kit.

Congrats on your first Cummins! I highly recommend to customers that a Synergy drag link is almost a must IMO for 13+ trucks. I recommend you check yours to make sure the nuts are tight and not finger lose like some people like myself have experienced.

That's the plan, would really like to see a comparison between the synergy and the new RAM drag link 68338342AD (New Recall).

Trust me I am on the list of complaints of lets say not happy with welds.

Waiting to see how the new W49 recall works out.

    Welcome!

Inlines really are the best aren’t they?

I have 2 Benz inline diesels myself and will never sell them.

As for good mods in tact tune or tune+delete with MM3.

Yeah, my CDI only had two mods I swapped out the seats for AMG seats I found & I got it tuned with a stockish tune I guess equivalent to eco. Not going to lie that was the biggest pain.
Before that youtuber got a CDI and made them popular the only place that would offer a tune was Green Diesel Engineering. I bought a Kess obd2 reader made a copy of my ECM them basically emailed a bunch of companies.
Almost all of them did not want to deal with me since I didn't physically buy the scanner from them, found a guy in London who said he would do it no problem, turned it back to stock when I sold it.
I have to say that Motor/trans combo was perfect 3.2 with the 7.226
