Can’t Find The Right Optima Batteries

I need to replace my batteries on my truck.

I would like to go optima yellow top as I have lights I run a lot when the trucks off as well as the stereo a lot of times.

Optimas website doesn’t show exact replacements I can only find your standard auto parts brands.

Anyone have any suggestions to replace with Optimas?

I use interstate agm batteries and I have never had any issues running all my lights while off.

Off the top of my head... optima does not make vehicle specific fitted batteries... they are all the same universal shape, you may have to make some modifications to you battery hold down system to get them to stay put perfectly. Other manufacturers do make vehicle specific AGm batteries... that may be the better route to take.

These are expensive but I installed them April 2019. Happy with them no issues so far.

I see my link is not working, you need Group 94R batteries to fit the standard 2013-2019 battery tray. I purchased mine from Batteries Plus. Item number SLl94RAGMDP

As it's already been stated, a premium AGM battery will perform very very well. Optima's quality has gone down over the last 5-10 years IMO. With that being said, I only run Interstate batteries.

Yeah I would stay away from Optima now.

I remember there being a thread on one of forums years ago about an engineer that worked there, he said it became a race to cut cost as fast as possible when they got bought out.

I have had good luck with Bosch batteries. I call them Bosch blue top.

    Definitely stay away from Optima.

If you're looking at an Interstate battery, check out the Everstart AGM at Walmart.

Both these and Interstate are made by Exide.

The Everstart is just under $200.
