Does anyone know if this is covered under the 100k mile warranty?
Does anyone know if this is covered under the 100k mile warranty?
It's under the 3/36k warranty if I'm not mistaken, but I can't remember.
Unless you're having a specific issue with the ABS Module, replacing the HCU before the Module will fix most ABS problems.
My HCU started acting up at around 10k miles, and I replaced it somewhere around 20K miles.
Got a Mopar HCU from rock auto for like $150 or so.
I encourage you to research your issue as it may be a simple HCU fix.

Joe, quick question, if replacing the HCU, no programming is required, correct?
2014 RAM 3500 (Aisin) 3.73 4X4 Limited Crew Cab Long Bed DRW. Oil Bypass Filter, Fuel Filtration Kit, Cold Air Intake, City Diesel Actuator and 50 Gallon Aux Fuel Tank.
No sir, no programming/dealer visit is required with just an HCU replacement.
Brake lines will need to be bled after installation.

Try changing the brake fluid.
My 2018 had this problem at two years old ( not sure of mileage).
Dealer repaired at about $800.
Not long ago, I had the same alarms coming in (it's been two years since repair).
I remember Harley Davidson put out a service bulletin a few years ago that said the brake fluid had to be changed every two years because any moisture in the liquid would cause their ABS module not to work correctly.
So I changed my brake fluid on my 2018 to try to save a repair, and I haven't had a problem since (about 1000 miles).
It might be a coincidence, but it would be worth a try.
I’d be interested to know if this fixes yours.
2018 was the worst year model for HCU failures.
I don’t understand why since they all use the same part number.
They failed at a much higher rate than in other years.

If I don't have any more problems, I plan to change the break fluid once every year.
The old fluid was very dark compared to the new.
Father’s 2018 was just done last week, and my 2018 2 months ago.
They must be.
I hope aftermarket will soon be available.
My truck only had 25,000.
