68RFE Only Has 1st and 4th Forward Gears

I recently installed a BD diesel protect68 pressure control kit part #1030362 on my 2012 Ram 3500 DRW.

The only mods are H&S Mini Max, S&B intake, and full delete.

The land yacht ran great for about a week and half went to leave one morning and I noticed it took a little more throttle than usual to get moving, next thing I know 2nd and 3rd gear are slipping hard then the truck slams into 4th and then starts to slowly move out.

Hooked my scantool to the truck and pulled 5 codes. P0733: Gear ratio error in 3rd, P0732: Gear ratio error in 2nd, P0841: Low/reverse pressure switch rationality, P0870: OD hydraulic pressure test, P0935: Hydraulic pressure sensor circuit high.

What do ya'll think the possibility of it being a valve body issue or far worse?

    Hi.

I forget the codes I had but was towing around 12,000# when my trans went.

    I only had 1st and 4th gears.

When shop took it a part the valve body was fine was mostly the overdrive clutches that burnt up.

I replaced the trans with an upgraded one.

My trans got hot well over 220 degrees.

I hope you don't have the same problem.

When it shifted into 4th it felt like I was being rear ended by another vehicle I wasn't hauling anything and I've never had the temps over 180 at any point and time.

I'm very particular about trans temps and try to keep them around 160-170.

Also I noticed that it would have an extremely harsh down shift into fourth.

I can do almost anything mechanical but I'm no transmission guy.

I really hope it doesn't come down to needing a new trans.

I am not currently using the H&S trans tune.

I just purchased a new solenoid pack I'm going to try that sometime this week.

I also called and talked to a Revmax tech and he gave me a list of different things to try.

I run the protect 68 and H&S with trans tune.

    Revmax wrote that tune?

Could be snap ring in 2C4C get Revmax billet one if it is hope it’s solenoid pack or could be from filter adapter if you didn’t upgrade at time Of bd install the plastic one can crack and break for sure over time cause pressure loss or cook UD OD clutches for sure.

Gear ratio code almost always indicate slipping clutch.

1st and 4th are the only gears that don’t use the 2c/4c so id look into the center support.

You can check valve body to case seals.

But I’d bet you get internal issues.
