    6.7L 5" Exhaust Combos

I was wondering if guys run the FLO~PRO 5" with a muffler and also a Twister after the down pipe.

Is that super quiet and doesn't sound good, or just a twister after down pipe and no muffler.

Just thinking about my truck idling some mornings in the winter and my neighbors.

    What should I try first.

    Just the Twister first?

    Opinions?

    Thanks

Twister is FLO~PRO's version of a resonator.

The Twister should eliminate the drone, but you will probably want to add a muffler to accommodate the neighbors.

I would say try the Twister first.

I am running a FLO~PRO 5" with the 24" muffler and its not loud until you get it under a good load.

Everyday driving its actually pretty quiet. It has a real nice low rumble without that "tinny" sound you get from straight pipes.

I get comments on how good it sounds.

I don't hear much cruising 75 mph on the freeway empty, maybe a mild low tone out the back.

Nothing that causes vibrations, rattling or squeaking.

If you get on it you can hear it but its not obnoxious.

I have a 9000 lb 5'er and its noticeably louder when I tow especially pulling a hill.

I personally would not call it droning but that kind of thing never bothered me much anyway.

Even under a load nothing that would cause undue vibrations or rattling.

I started out straightpiped but under a load it was too much as I go into California on occasion.

With the muffler it sounds so good I will take my chances.

@Aboshan what brand of muffler your running?

    Interesting Video!

Though I don't know if this holds true for a basically stock 6.7L - but it does make ya think!

Being so much more less restrictive then the OEM Exhaust - the resonator has to be helping but not as much as a pure straight pipe...

I am running the muffler that comes with the Flo Pro 1674 5 inch TBE.

Part number 6196 if you buy it separately like I did.

Its a straight through 5 inch glass pack.

My Gen 4 wasn't as loud straight piped as my Gen 2 but it was still too loud towing especially in Cali.

I added the muffler and it makes a really nice deep low tone that you can appreciate.

FLO~PRO has a YouTube video doing an install of the 1674 (with muffler) on a 2018 RAM.

The end of the video they start it so you can hear the sound.

They are inside a shop and you can hear them talking over the exhaust sound.

It's exactly what mine sounds like.

    This is really helpful!

All it takes is some spare time - A nice clean shop (Lift is a plus) & alot of $$$$ & a good amount of Liquid Wrench!

Definitely going to invest in box of Thick Black Zip Ties a & the Shibby Kit!

I have my deletion pad out - scribbling all this good info down for when that day comes - I'm prepared to place my orders!
