That's why I chose the mishimoto one because it still had a thermostat, but with the thermostat installed it is still acting like a bypass or the thermostat is stuck open.
For sure.
Do they tell you what temp the thermostat is even?
Maybe it's like a 90 degree thermostat to still keep temps in the low 100s regularly.

Supposed to be 160 which is 10 lower than factory.
The big draw for mishomoto is the flow is much better than factory when open.
The factory acts as a bottle neck so it cannot move as much fluid as quickly as mishomoto unit.
These are super easy to install.
