    Transmission Problems

I have a 2014 RAM 2500 with the 6 speed auto, DRD tuned and all of a sudden I was accelerating and it was like it went into neutral immediately triggering the CEL.

Came to a stop and would not accelerate unless manually putting it in 1st.

Tried to upshift and it would not come out of first.

Got back to the shop and had po731, po732,po734 codes present.

Erased codes and went on test drive, soon as it was supposed to shift int second cel light came on and would not come out of first.

Re ran codes and only had po731 present.

    Parked it.

The truck has less than 40,000 miles and hasn’t any trans issues.

    This was a sudden failure.

Has anybody had any symptoms like this, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Ooof, 68RFE death codes.

These are definitely not the codes you want.

P0731/0732 - Input/Output speed mismatch in Gear 1 & 2 respectively (indicating transmission slippage outside of acceptable range)

P0734 - Abnormality in the gear ratio of one or more gears.

Before ponying up for a new RevMax I'd recommend you pull the transmission speed sensors out of the casing and have them tested.

You may luck out and it's a simple sensor failure (which will trigger these codes and the drivability issues), however, if the sensors are good, your transmission is most likely shot.
