1st Oil and Fuel Filter Service

    At 10k on my 19.

I'm going to do my first oil change and fuel filters change.

Was curious if there is anyone doing their services with none OEM parts for better filtration.

Or if any companies are making smaller micron fuel filters for the new style fuel filters.

Plan to have this truck a long time and want to start off right.

Research the Donaldson DBL7349 & Fleetguard Stratapore LF16035 - both oil filters...

    Fuel filters - I don't know...

I use the nano-net (Fleetguard) on my engine mounted polisher filter & the normal (Fleetguard) water separator filter out back on long the bed rail...

I use the fleet guard oil filter and OEM Mopar fuel filters. They have the same micro rating as the fleet guard and are a few bucks cheaper.

Are the factory filters rated at 2 micron?

For the price of them all I'm now considering the black market performance spin on cat fuel filter setup.

    Seems pretty slick.

The Mopar NanoNet for '10-'20, 6.7L Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel trucks is a two-stage fuel filter designed to trap smaller particles than other aftermarket fuel filters by using a proprietary filter medium.

It has a 5 micron outer filter with a 3 micron inner filter.

    The CAT setups look slick.

I'm definitely going to consider replacing both front and rear with the CAT adapters next time around on fuel filters.

The Black Market setup looks good. $400 initial cost isn't terrible when you're already going to pay almost $200 for OEM filters.

OEM fuel filters are currently $52.99 each at @Geno's Garage.

That's a good call. Geno's definitely makes it more palatable.

The CAT filters will definitely save you money in the long run though running $50 total for both.
