    No Power - DEAD?

Went to unlock my truck this morning and the fob wouldn’t unlock the truck.

I thought it was dead so I got my other key.

    It didn’t work either.

Unlocked the truck with the key and tried to start and nothing no power no lights, nothing.

The last time I drove the truck I noticed on my MM3 tuner there were red hourglasses on all my monitors when I shut the truck of.

I have new batteries installed 2 months ago.

    Truck is fully deleted.

    Please help.

    @Wareagle32

    Someone should chime in soon.

My truck is old enough that I can't use the MM3 so I don't have the knowledge on the equipment.

I'd suggest battery chargers before anything, then check for codes.

    Welcome!!

x2 what @AnOldBiker said. Start by charging the batteries overnight and then check for codes.

Agree ^^^^ even though your batteries are only 2 months old they could still go bad.

I would charge them both and do a load test on each one separately.

Keep us posted what you find.

Something similar happened to me a couple years ago on my 2012.

Went out to start it up and nothing, just like someone yanked the batteries.

When I got hone from work, I pulled them out, took up to advanced auto (where I purchased them a year prior), they check out like new.

Came home, clean all posts (battery and starter) and added some Vaseline, reinstalled and good to go.

I did not have the red hour glasses though.

Had the same problem with my MM3 on my 2018 with 10k miles.

I mounted quick disconnects on both batteries for trickle chargers. If I know it won't be started in a week or longer I plug it up.

New batteries doesn't always mean healthy batteries.

Certain PID's would do that 5 years ago in my 2015. What are you monitering?

    Re: No Power - DEAD?

If you are monitoring any PID with the letters SAE behind them, change that PID to something else, and I'm willing to bet you will never see the hourglass and have dead batteries again.

But if I'm wrong, because this was a problem 5 years ago.

To be safe if you notice the hourglass, unplug it so the batteries don't die.
