If the head was pulled when it was a little tick, the engine would be okay, but because of their negligence, the entire engine is now trashed.

If you have an invoice with the notes that say it’s “normal” and that they sent you out the door with a ticking timebomb, you need to hire an attorney if they are unwilling to pay.

FCA and you have no responsibility on this. It is the dealers responsibility to replace that engine they allowed to self destruct.

    That’s my opinion as well.

I’m waiting to see what Chrysler is going to do.

So u are not a mechanic?

Thought it was making a funny sound.

They did adjustment and injector and that is what they ( mechanics) said was wrong and its fine.

Valves just don't drop like that unless top half of valve train was not correctly done right.

As you know that price quote for rebuild is absurd.

A punch to the face after they kicked u in the *****.

Dealer didn’t quote a rebuild they are quoting a full replacement.

    I agree.

If Chrysler doesn’t take care of the dealers issue then I’m gonna talk to some lawyers to get some advice.

    Replacement, still an absurd price.

    I think so too!

It’s half the cost of the whole truck!

    UPDATE

So chrysler came back with an initial offer to pay 25% of the claim.

The dealer magically came off $4k of the quote as well on top of that which would bring my cost down to about $16k.

I’ve went back to Chrysler to try and get more assistance and told them I think at minimum they should cover half.

I’m very disappointed with chrysler and the dealer.

Forgive me but what did I miss? 3 and 6, have damage, 3, injector replacement and valve adj, then three craps out, engine trashed? Hmm, George Bush fuzzy math? I think you need to let them know you are chairman of the local auxiliary for antifa. Bet they change their tune, LOL...Seriously, though unless I am out to lunch, I see no other way but for the dealership to take full responsibility. Great luck as usual Sir. Carry on!
