HELP

[Saltwaterdiesel]

So, my 14 2500 decided to up and give me the bird today. I recently had surgery and have been unable to drive. My dad came down to help out while I healed and drove my truck a couple of times. Well it sat for about a week. Went to start it today and the dash displays the following:

Service antilock brake system, service airbag system, low oil light, CEL, parking brake on even though it isn't, service tow system.

The DEF guage doesn't move and the shift indicator light didn't come on. Everything powers up but it won't even attempt to engage the starter.

Battery voltages are 12.8/12.86. I don't know what to do.

I'm betting the batteries have gotten low. They test good without load but dropnway down when you try to crank the truck. If you have a trickle charger, hook it up to the drivers side battery for a few hours and give it a try again.

I'm betting the batteries have gotten low. They test good without load but dropnway down when you try to crank the truck. If you have a trickle charger, hook it up to the drivers side battery for a few hours and give it a try again.

Thanks for the reply bud but think I found the problem. Just for shits I took out the TIPM (fuse block) to check all the plugs and found that some ahole rodent had gotten up there and chewed some stuff up. Currently conducting a hack job splice party to see if that's the issue. Will get back to you.

So got the wire that was completely severed fixed and just put some liquid electrical tape over the ones that he chewed through insulation but didn't break the wire.

Behavior is still the same so I'm assuming I need to reset the computer to make it understand that the fault is no longer there?

I ran the key cycle trick to pull the CEL codes and it said done but never returned anything.

I would unhook batteries and let ECM reset.

While you have them unhooked load test them independently.

These trucks get pissed if there is any voltage issue.

With a cluster of different things like described I bet that is a contributing factor.

I’ll second what @TexNeck said. Faulty batteries cause lots of issues with these trucks.

Well I'm pretty positive it has something to do with the wires the vermon chewed through more so than batteries that are sitting at almost 13v.
