    Aisin Startup Problem

I have a 2015 ram 3500 with the Aisin, not had it long.

This truck pulls awesome, runs great and rides great.

I am only run with stock running because of the shift flares.

Only pull obviously with stock tuning.

My problem is that if the truck sits for more than 2 days when I first startup it will take about a minute before it will move once I go into drive.

Its just like the torque converter has had all its fluid drained out of it and needs to build that back up to move.

After that it pulls and runs perfect.

If I park it today tomorrow morning not a problem and this just came on since the warmer weather or now since I don't need to warm it up as much.

    Anyone have a similar issue?

How many miles on the truck?

Stinks that it’s giving you problems.

Have you checked the fluid in it?

    Sorry to hear this.

    No similar issues with mine.

These Aisin transmissions are quite robust but do require more frequent fluid and filter changes than the 68RFE’s.

l change mine religiously every 20,000 miles as recommended.

Hopefully the previous owner performed this maintenance.

As stated I would start by checking the level, then follow up with a fluid and filter change if it’s been 20,000 miles or you are not sure when it was done last.

    Please keep us posted.

I feel the last 2 posts puts you at the first place I (Myself) would start... & Your Aisin can only benefit from a complete service with the proper fluid...

Note: Make sure to follow the proper procedure for checking the ATF level...

Good Luck - We all hope this is the easy fix...
