    Just picked three that progressively stepped up.

    I do want to note I didn't drill the entire way through with the smaller bits.

    Simply increased the original hole until I stepped up to the final bit.

    If I leave the EGR and cooler on for now do I need the probe?

    You don't need the probe, but it's nice to have to be able to keep an eye on EGT'S

    No, you don’t need a probe unless you want to monitor your EGT’s.
