    Torque Wrench?

Can anyone point me in the direction to a good torque wrench for head studs?

Does Lowe’s carry decent ones or any local stores like that?

    $$$

If it's your only job for it, you could see if you can get a loaner tool from an Autozone or whatever.

Well I would probably use it again at some point extra tools never hurt and I worry about loaner tools cause most of the time when I use them they are ragged out.

I bought a Kobalt 3/8" drive from Lowes for ~$60.

I use it for my beadlock rings.

    Good for 120 ft-lbs I believe.

SK adjustable is made and sourced in the US.

    Only one I'm aware of.

Standard ratchet head with handle dial.

Expensive but totally solid. <4% variance if used properly I believe. Maybe better?

Precision instruments split beam (or any type of beam wrench) may be a bit more accurate. IDK. My money always stays stateside when possible.

    Both are pricey.

Both are also a lifetime tool if you care for them.

Husky click-type torque wrench from Home Depot will run you $80-90 and has been tested at +/- 3% accuracy.

You can spend a little more if you want a digital one.

The click types have served me well working on all our cars, my truck, and my motorcycle.

I use ICON tools from Harbor Freight.

My torque wrench is in the link below, I love it and the brand in general.

I will support the harbor freight ones on a budget.

The thousand dollar digital nap on ones, are not for everyone.

The ICON line isn't typical HF quality under no stretch and compares to most any top brand, at least not in my opinion.
