    Studs? When Are They Needed?

I have a 2014 6.7L Cummins that is tuned by CTT with Ez Lynk.

I normal run on one cause I tow trailers but sometimes I like to run 3 on the highway.

I don’t drive like a idiot but sometimes I love getting into it on tune one my max boost I see is 33 then it drops but I have not paid much attention to my boost while turned up to 3.

Also have stock VGT turbo and don’t plan on upgrading unless I have to.

Would you recommend studs or will stock bolts suffice?

If your running a +100 HP setting or less, its got more to do with driving style than anything.

You can beat on a completely stock truck and pop the HG.

Routinely running higher than a +100 HP tune then studs are strongly recommend.

I ran a +90 HP tune on my '12 for over 100k miles on stock head bolts with no issues.
