    Emissions Compliant?

First let me start by saying.

I understand the differences between emissions deleted and intact.

What I would really like some one to maybe point me to understanding is what exactly are they changing when tuning.

Is it actually as good as deleting?

I guess what I’m saying is.

I don’t understand how you can get a engine to run clean enough while still running an egr and not worry.

Or are they just Regen more often?

I know I’m late to this game I’ve owned my truck 5yrs now and was planning on deleting but with the current climate around deleting....

I made sure since from new that I’ve changed my oil at 5k mile intervals trying to keep as clean as possible.

I know I’ve strayed here a litttle from my question.

    Thanks

    Who has compliant tunes?

    I'm curious about this.

    Emissions Compliant?

I apologize I don’t know why I wrote “difference between compliant and intact.” I meant deleted vs intact?

Is intact possible for a 15?

If so what exactly are they (tuners) doing?

Ultimately I’m looking to make my truck as clean running to keep it running as long as possible but with more power.

I didn’t want to just default to asking should I delete.

I wanted to understand what exactly emissions intact tuners were doing?

Emissions intact tuning is available and often includes limiting/disabling the EGR.

The main drawbacks are typically result in increased DEF usage and can be harder on the emissions equipment in the exhaust.

^This. Intact tuning leaves your exhaust components intact but shuts down (or massively reduces) the EGR function. You will see a significant increase in Regen cycles & a very significant increase in DEF usage. The trade off is not filling your intake tract with soot.

    Re: Emissions Compliant?

I have seen intact tuning on my fathers truck and I pulled the EGR off to see how dirty it was and it was no where as bad as stock and he has actually been using less def and the truck is producing less soot.

He has been monitoring the DPF load and it’s going further between Regenerations.

    Re: Emissions Compliant?

Anyone else have experience with emissions intact tuning?

    How is power?

Can it be deleted later if I want to?

    Who is offering it?

I'm not ready for delete yet but wouldn't mind a intact tuning to just to pep it up and clean up the shifts.

I was considering full delete but now I'm looking at CPS emissions intact tuning. Anyone run these tunes or have any experience with them. I like the idea especially if the power of the delete is there but would be nice to have a little better sound from exhaust. But I'm guessing you can't get sound without a delete.

You won’t get added sound without a delete.

CPS is local to me and have great products.

They spend a lot of time testing their tunes.
