Mine used twice the amount of DEF because of the EGR being turned being disabled causing Regens more frequently. You are lucky both your trucks consumed less.

    Who's tuning did you have?

I swear my 19 already burns so much def it's insane.

My buddies 17 barely used any and I'm putting in a 2.5 gal jug every 4 fill ups on average.

The tuner I had didn’t turn off the EGR.

    They reduced the amount used.

Every tuner does it differently some turn off, most of them leave them on and just tune the truck to a lower Lamda ratio so it’s actually cleaner and produces less soot than before.

Some turn them off and turn them up so Lamda is rich.

I used someone from outside the group.

I’ll say this the one you are looking at I am running right now on my 20 and it’s consuming less.

Gotcha well my tuner turned it off so that’s the reason more DEF was being used.

Yeah when they are turned off it’s harder to control lamda which is air fuel mixture.

    Re: Emissions Compliant?

I've been running the EGRLess tune since March, 2019, and I have not experienced any noticeable problems.

My engine oil remains cleaner longer, but I do use a little more DEF.

I am getting ready to haul my RV at the end of the month for a needed getaway, and this will be the first tow trip with the tune.

I did boost the HP a little, and I will see if there is any noticeable difference from before.

    Re: Emissions Compliant?

I know I am a bit late to this thread.

I am possibly the highest miles running emissions intact.

Tuned at 7K and ran it till 104K with no issues.

I did notice more DEF usage and I did not notice more Regens.

I do a lot of highway driving, and a lot of towing, so I do heat the truck up enough to keep it clean.

You can check my weight loss surgery thread to see what everything looked like when I did remove it after 97K miles. I did that on a 2016. I am actually surprised no one tagged me in this thread.
