Revmax VB Installed - Vehicle Not In Park

    Need a little help.

Installed the Revmax valve body on my 2018 RAM and was very careful with the solenoid pack.

I installed and made sure the slide was all the way back toward the plug of the valve body. Slipped right in.

When I went to check to make sure it was working truck says vehicle is not in park.

I tried going to drive and back.

    No trouble codes.

Need a few trouble shooting ideas if anyone has experienced that.

The truck only has 28000 so I wouldn’t think the solenoid pack is bad.

It’s gotta be something simple I’m missing.

Most of the time this is because the little prong for the gear selector is set incorrectly but it sounds like you made sure it was.

Might want to give Revmax a call just to verify.

    Thank you.

I did give Revmax a call and described everything and they said it sounds like the shift fork piece is lined up because I can feel each dent in the shift plate.

Recommended getting a scan tool on it to see if the solenoid pack is acting up.

Please keep us posted as to what you find.

I am in the process of installing one as well.

I will update my findings once I finish the install.

I'm sure this does not have anything to do with it but did you do the transmission re learn after installing?

    Update.

I talked with a mechanic friend and he said to try filling it up then starting it pressureizr everything.

Intially it said not in park still when I fired it up but after i run it and rolled through drive and reverse letting it engage it worked fine.

Watched the pressure in the mm3 and it’s holding steady.

Took it for a drive around the neighborhood and works great.

I did do a retune from DRD so taking it easy while it learns the CVI values like normal.

I’ll update if anything weird happens but runs well.

Which valve body of theirs did you use? Towing or their billet one?

Really didn’t fit my needs once I read the information on both.

Towing seems to work great at making the stock tranny last.

The billet is a few hundred more and I wouldn’t utilize it’s benefits.
