    Tire Recommendation

The time has come for me to get new tires, running 35x12.5r20... and I'm trying to get a good idea of what I'll be getting, looking for recommendations. I do mostly street and highway driving, with some periodic boat towing. Also, since I'm in North Texas, there's a lot of dirt and a lot of rain so I'd also like DECENT traction in the mud also. Currently I'm running Toyo Open Country MT but was wondering if I could get better performance and more miles from an aggressive AT rather than another MT.

Any feedback or opinions are welcome!

I’m using Falken Wildpeak AT3W and have about 10,000 miles on them.

Tread still looks new and they are excellent traction in rain, mud and snow plus they are way cheaper than the Toyos etc... the tire place I purchased them from claims I can get 50-60 thousand out of them with proper rotation and air pressure.

I've been happy with running the Nitto Ridge Grapplers for over 3 years and 50k miles.

Still have plenty of tread left.

Put about 5,000 miles on these 35x12.50r20 Toyo AT3.

They ride a lot better than the Toyo RT on my wife’s Ecodiesel.

They still have a hum going down the road no near as bad as MT or RT.
They handle off-road traction in South Georgia well but I haven’t been thru any deep mud as of yet.

I just ordered a set of the Toyo AT3's to replace my MT's as well. They were hard to find in stock anywhere though.

I think I'm all in on these General Grabber M/Ts I put on.

Look, ride, and seem to be wearing pretty well.

I may be a bit biased though, getting them at a discount helps.

    Re: Tire Recommendation

For the last 17k miles i have had my Nittor ridge graps and to be honest I wont buy again. they were expensive and I have only 40% tread left. I hope to get 25k out of them. I rotate and keep tabs on psi. the only thing is I'm not light on the foot when i drive.
at 15k miles they would not balance well and had to have a road balance done and they were spun on the rim about 180 and this solved the vibration issue i developed on 1 tire. they are quiet and not much road noise. the side walls have taken abuse well i would say because my GF when she drives will rub curbs. but for the price and what i will actually get out of them for miles I will be trying the Falken Wildpeak AT3W as i have been watching those tires for a few years now.

I recommend the Cooper AT3W XLT, made in the USA. I've always had good luck with Cooper.

J: Are you leaning more towards a aggressive A/T or more towards the M/T?
