    Fog Lights

What bulbs do most of you use for your fog lights?

I’m looking for something nice and bright.

    Re: Fog Lights

I put GTR LEDs from Headlight Revolution in mine. Pricey.

Very bright. have a blueish 6000k tint to them if you are trying to match an HID headlight or something.

Can't comment on longevity, but quality seems good to the touch when I put them in.

Another member mentioned looking at Diode Dynamics. Much better price.

I would probably go that route next time.

Make sure you check your states laws.

Tennessee recently pasted a law allowing yellow or white lights only.

Over 5500 kelvin are illegal there, and a fast ticket.

I know here in NC they banned the bar lights from being used on a state road but I don’t think they banned brightness of a fog yet.

For reference, any color other than yellow or white has been banned federally forever.

FMVSS #108 states that all vehicle lighting shall conform to SAE J578 MAY88 which dictates that both headlights shall be the same color in the pair and that color shall be white, yellow, or white-to-yellow.

    Re: Fog Lights

I would really like to swap my quads for a set of (High Quality) projectors but the $$$ for the upgrade is a bit more then I can understand... Yup downfall of The Bighorn!

The stock quad lighting is horrid - Been pondering searching for bulb upgrades to help as much as possible...
Thing is my Son showed me a set of (White) LED fog bulbs that really seem to help & I really like the look of the White - So I'm looking for a set of upgraded (White) Halogen bulbs for the quads...

My OCD will not allow me to run different colors in both positions...
I totally understand these reflector type quads are not the true idea design for neither HIDs not LEDs - so I've chose to stick with the simple Halogen swap.

I have blue ones now and have been ticketed twice so it’s definitely time to make the change.

    Thanks for all the information.
