    Long Wait Times

Just thought everyone should know what brought me to the site.

I recently attempted to purchase a tuner and other parts from ECOFREAK Custom tuning.

Spoke with a guy that worked for them and everything appeared good.

Nearly two weeks later and have not received the tuner or any of the other items.

The excuse or reason is they are waiting for efi live to send the tuners, which at the time seemed somewhat normal in this post-apocalyptic EPA driven era.

So over 13 hundred out of pocket, and no response since last Friday from the company.

I am a small business owner, and understand everybody gets busy at times, but this seems severely odd.

In my search for a replacement tuner Double R came about as being very reputable, so in the midst of recovering my money from ECO Freak, I am now having to restart the tuner / delete process.

The reason why they are probably behind and it sucks that they did not inform you but it's because the new EFi Live autocal will be released soon so they stopped making the efi live autocal.

All of the EFi Live autocals are all sold out and everyone is buying them up in order to get the new released software update that will be coming out soon.

Sorry to hear that happened! Hopefully they'll work with you on a refund.

Clayton hit the nail on the head. Good things coming to EFI Live and the pricing is amazing!

I like EFI better because I don't like the digital gauges, I like the analog gauges.

Both platforms are tried and true so no worries on reliability.

    Re: Long Wait Times

Sorry for the delayed response, been busy with work.

All of these statements are correct.

They did agree to refund, haven't seen it yet, but all is good. I would assume they are good guys, but to be honest my biggest concern about doing any deletes is customer service.

You can or could purchase a tuner from anyone a couple years back, but having technical support to back up your product was more important than the tuner.

Being left on the road with a non-operating truck because of the tuner is not something anyone wants.

Ecofreak seemed like good guys, but in between emails, and phone calls waiting days for a response, made me nervous about purchasing the tuner from them.

What if I had a technical issue and it was days before a response.

That was the primary reason for cancelling the order.

The polar opposite of Double R Diesel, who in my short experience are amazing with responding, and providing information.

I have to admit I was hesitant to join a forum primarily to gain access to a tuner, but since being apart of this forum it has changed my thoughts.

Looking and reading through the post on here has given me an immense more knowledge about the Cummins diesel, which was well worth the lifetime member price.
