    Hello from Alaska

Recently purchased a 2016 2500 it’s bone stock and coming from owning a Jeep I’ve already gone down the rabbit hole of modifications.

Planning on building the Jeep so I needed something I can tow it with.

After seeing nothing but good things about DRD I decided to sign up.

@AK Bob Other than the obvious.

Trickle charger, fluid changes, what would you recommend for winterization.

I’m still deployed and should be back in the next month. Lithia Chevy in Fairbanks had their “winterization fee” on the total price anything specific I should watch for?

Or fuel additives I should add come winter.

Fairbanks is warmer in the summer but colder in the winter.

I am in Anchorage, so our winters are not quite as severe.

I plug in my block heater at 20*F and colder along with a trickle charger.

October through April I run with a grill cover for faster warmups.

I add Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement + Cetane Boost (the white bottle) at every fill up during the winter.

I would check with Lithia and ask them what the “winterization fee” includes.

They may recommend running a lighter weight differential fluid also.

For engine oil I run Rotella T6 5W-40 year round.
