I started the air compressor install. Decided to mount in the bed towards the rear. My thinking is I wanted it somewhere I didn't have to worry about water and corrosion so much like on the frame underneath and I didnt like the idea of mounting in the cab even down in those cubbies in floor because of the noise and because it needs good airflow. So I figured the bed is best spot.

Now I need to run the wiring, I'm waiting on the extended wire harness to arrive. And I will need to run the air line to the front locker and get my tank mounted probably undernaeth where the spare used to be so i can run tools, air up tires, and install a train horn later.

I keep thinking one of these days I will get my bed coated, in which case I will have to unistall this to get that done but I will deal with that when the time comes.

I have never had issues with high EGT but I don't really tow often.

The highest I've ever seen was 500 degrees.

Then again I am deleted which helps bring temps down a lot.

I'm putting the 40" tires on soon once my AEV parts get here.

Since I mounted compressor way in back of bed, I ordered main power harness extension from a company.

As far as the actual switch harness I'm gonna make my own.

I ordered on amazon some Deutsch 4 pin DT connectors and some silicone wire in the correct colors and will just cut off the white connector on the ARB harness which is a cheap connector and is not waterproof.

My harness connector will be waterproof and automotive grade since it will be running along the frame underneath.

Ill try and get pics of it when I build it.

While Im waiting on some parts Im trying to get some other things done.

I'm gonna add an air tank to the system for running tools and train horn etc in the future.

I decided to mount the extra tank under the bed where the spare used to be.

I could never fit a 40-inch spare under there anyway. LOL

I started by cutting off the spare tire winch thing to clear the area.

MY OCD always gets the best of me, Had to see them on the truck. Luckily I only had to do some minor cutting of the body seam to fit the front. My old wheels are already sold for $800 so that paid for half of it.

Now I gotta get my alphaOBD software out and reprogram for the tires and ABS system will read correctly
