Thanks for posting this, lots of good info. I did want to ask; dose the pig tail on City Diesel actuator plug directly into the harness?

The OEM actuator must be calibrated, however the City Diesel actuator is self calibrating, so just bolt on and your good to go.

Need some advice on my2015 Ram 2500 6.7 with 88K miles.
New to forum by the way.
My warranty just went out 2k miles ago and I start getting codes.
So, from research looks like the actuator is starting to fail.
First read codes were P003A, P0046, P00AF with loss off Boost.
Lasted only a short trip, cleared the codes and ran fine for two days.
Then CEL came on with code P003A only, no loss of boost.
A reputable shop said if it happens again, they recommend going with a the Sinister Pitbull setup Turbo and Actuator.
I also see that City Diesel offers the drop in actuator.
Not sure what I should do next since some research says that if there is soot build up or it’s a bad turbo then it will damage the actuator again.
Dealership quoted me 10K for new turbo and actuator or 3500 for actuator.
Crazy.
Did a new one fix the problem?
It did; went with the City Diesel Actuator.
I did the DRD Upgrade first, and I didn’t get the codes for about a month or two.
Then I replaced the actuator out of caution.
Which was good, it looked like there was a leak in a seal somewhere, and it was probably getting coolant in or out of the actuator.
Only one minor issue.
My whistle tune is not compatible with the City Diesel Actuator.
I haven’t had any issues, and I’m at 120k miles.
