    Cat Coolant Filteration

So was set on it but got it on black Friday for a good deal.

I finally installed the Sinister Cat coolant filtration system 550 miles ago.

Well...upon changing today as recommended for the first change interval the amount of crud that came out of it was a little extreme.

    Photos below.

What is in the solo cups I dumped out of the filter before cutting the filter open.

Even the color of the fluid was way off from what new coolant looked like.

I was shocked the first time I checked my first filter. Live with a filter since.

Absolutely gents I'll take some pics first thing in the morning. Install took all of 5 minutes to do. I think the prep worn for the kit took longer. Putting all the lines and fittings together.

Also not sure the cost but on black friday I paid 150 for mine. Its sinisters kit cause I wanted it to be all bolt on and using the Cat coolant filters. Changing the filter was super easy and kit is very well put together

Looking forward to some photos of your install. Please show where you tapped into the block for coolant inlet.

    Greetings @CBlock918

The residue in the bottom of the solo cup (IMHO) is minuscule.
What I'd be VERY interested in seeing is the crap that's inside the filter that we cant see.

How many miles were on the truck (the truck's coolant) before you added the filter?

Please continue your thread with more info & pictures!
This is a great topic. Thanks for posting it.

So I did cut the filter open and every crack of the filter element had sand in it. Truck has 65k miles on her when I installed the filter. Fully deleted along with the bypass oil filter.

Install was easy and for the money since I got a good black Friday deal I'm super happy with it
