    Need a site guide

I am considering installing a 6.7 w/Allison in a 98 GMC 3500 HD. Are there any threads on the forum that might assist my prospective project?

Not that I am aware of.

If you are going to take on a project of that caliber your going to be left to your own devices.

That will require a tremendous amount of time and mechanical knowledge.

And it begs the question why? An IFS GM truck is not the ideal candidate for a swap.

Has it been done? Of course. There are a lot of solid axle swaps for the GM's as well, installed one a few years back.

It's all up to you how much time and money you want to spend.

I would strongly recommend installing a manual trans anyway vs an Allison, especially a 5 speed Allison they suck.
