    HID Conversion

Well, I pulled the trigger on a GTR HID conversion for my 2017 projectors. 55w 6000k.

Any experience with those watt/color combos or the GTR kits?

Also, have a pair of V4 LED bulbs coming for the fog lights.

We'll see how they all turn out. I'm expecting them to be 100% better than stock lighting, granted everything works as it should - Ballast, CANBUS, etc.

Went expensive from Headlight Revolution... maybe a bit pricey for a middleman supplier, but easy to get what I needed to make it work.

    Posting out of pure boredom.

I’ve used GTR LED’s before which really didn’t last very long. I went with Diode Dynamic 35w at 5,000k and Morimoto LED fog lights.

I had 6,000k bulbs and they had a blueish hue to them which didn’t match my fog lights so I switched to 5,000k which match a lot better plus the pure white of a 5k is so much better at night with wet roads.

Make sure you buy canBUS adapters for both headlights and fogs or else they may work or they may not work at all.

Could also get alfaobd instead of canbus adapters and set the dogs and headlights to led.

    Good info, thanks.

I was told the 55w ballast would make the 6000k closer to a 5000k + more lumens.

Not sure if there is any truth to that.

It’s the gas they use inside the light that changes the color.

To me, I really can not tell any difference between a 35w and a 55w except for price difference.

Plus a 35w draws less power on the electrical system.

    Not working at all.

Might have to return and go with the Diode Dynamics if they don't get back to me with a solution.

    Re: HID Conversion

They got back to me and I got them working.

Very strange IMO - the connector to to the OE had adjustable pins in it that had to be widened.

Kit had zero instructions, so not sure how one would know that, but all is good now.

Must be set up to have one bulb compatible with multiple OE connections. H11, 9005, etc.

Color and output are nice. Match my LEDs in my fog lights.

Anything is better than stock bulbs in these things.

    Thanks for the update.
