    Transfer Case Fluid

    Does anyone have the capability to check a VIN to see which transfer case I have to make sure I get the right fluid for it.

    I'm about to do a full service next week when I get back from being out of town and the dealership near me never answers their parts department phone.

    I was originally gonna use Amsoil ATF but after a lot of research it was highly not recommended in the 68RFE and transfer case.

    Just want to gave it all waiting for me when I get home.

    I don’t personally have any way to check your VIN, but you can go to Mopar.com and download your owner’s manual.

    The recommend transfer case fluid is Mopar BW44-44.

    Hmm yea I have the manual but listed a couple options for transfer cases.

    Do all the 6.7s use the BW44-44

    I honestly don't think Any 6.7L Cummins Rams was built with the 4WD Auto feature - To be honest it's somewhat wimpy (Clutch Drive design)

    Look @ your 2WD/4WD lock/4WD low switch to the left of your ignition switch -
    Hmmm I stand corrected, I had just took a quick peak at the 2017 1500, 2500, 3500 owners manual and that was the only type listed.

    The other type is probably listed in the supplement manual.

    @CBlock918 My apologies please disregard.

    Haha no need to apologize.

    I'll order a couple quarts of it or may go pick it up at the dealership if they'll even answer a phone.
