Thread: HTT Drop in Non VGT Replacement

HTT Drop in Non VGT Replacement

Actuator has gone bad in my stock turbo.

I’d rather just upgrade my turbo vs replacing the actuator.

I’ve been looking at the HTT drop in non VGT turbo.

Does anyone have experience running this?

I understand I’ll lose the exhaust brake which is OK.

I have 3.42 gears, 35” tires, full delete with Double R warp tuning and don’t tow very often.

What size turbo would be my best bet?

    Thanks.

I have sold a few of them and have no complaints from the customers. I would go with these if you are not towing much. These are meant for light towing and more daily driving paired with street performance.

HTT’s were popular in the 3rd Gen days.

As Clayton already mentioned it’s not a bad choice for a daily driver.

With your tire size/gearing I think you’d be happy with the 64.5 over a 66.

I've got a 2015 Cummins I went with the 364.5 borgwarner from HTT.

I run the RaceME Ultra Tuner on the 150 tune and my truck runs great averaging 18mph.

Are you running the cam tunes direct from RaceME?

RaceME Canada said it would support the second gen swap, local diesel shop is telling me it won’t.
