What sold me was the 5 year free replacement.

That’s better warranty than any other battery I’ve seen.

At this moment My (OEM) batteries are still in good shape - Just thinking about the future.

Had my X2 Extreme AGM batteries for 18 months now and they seem to be holding up well.

    No issues, time will tell.

Found a company in OKC - Batteries Plus that stocks the Duracell AGM as well as the Extreme.
They have multiple locations - Might be a for sure go to when the time comes - hopefully 5-7yrs down the road.

    Thanks fellas for your replies!

A pair of AGM batteries & a high quality (smart) battery tender - might be the ideal set up.

My advice is to get a set of NEW not blem Interstate green top batteries.

There won't be much warranty/CCA difference between them and AGM's so if you're already going to be properly maintaining/trickle charging them I don't see any advantage IMO.

Regular green top Interstates proved themselves for many many years in 7.3 Powerstrokes and IDI engines so they always have my vote.

Usually 2 green tops are $300/pair so I don't see enough benefit to spend almost $600/pair for a prorated warranty and 20 extra CCA.

    Again, just my .02.

Yes, I have my 5A Norco charger attached to the top of my fuse box with velcro. Some folks mount them on the wall inside their garage. It all depends on your situation and what you are trying to accomplish.

My G750 is mounted to the wall in the garage - via a moderate quality surge protector.
If not at work - My 17 sits in the garage - Winter time temps inside never really fall below 40*F.

Summer months - I don't normally plug it in but once a month.
Winter months - I normally hook her up the night before I have to go back on shift. (Normally takes about 3hrs & the G750 is flashing green).
Takes about 2 min to plug her in with the help of the quick connects.

I finally installed the G1100 under the shelf on the other side of the garage for the wifes car (I set her battery up with the quick connects as well)

    Trickle Charger Make/Model

Ok people, I read through this thread again and thinking I’m gonna go with the GENIUS 2 but I want to make sure it’s gonna work for sure.

    Will it do both batteries?

I want one that will maintain and also bring the life back into the batteries if I have a brain fart and forget to plug it in.

JAXON will be next to my garage under a cover and under a shelter logic hut all winter (probably won’t see the road again until salt free roads appear in the spring).

I’ll do heavy extension cord and surge protector.

Yes it will change both batteries because they are both wired in parallel.

The lower the charger amperage the longer it will take to fully change both batteries if you forget to plug in.

Sounds like most of the time you will be plugged in so the GENIUS 2 will be used as a maintainer.

If you forget to plug in it will change both batteries but may take a day or two to fully change.
