Yeah it's Abit overwhelming for me....since it's a completely new platform I can't just dive in and go.

I have to read read read before I touch anything.

For example, when I see the wiring job done in the fuel pump for some reason he left the main harness plugged into the old pump and tapped into the harness to run the new pump.

I guess it gives you the option to return to stock....but if it's fine right there should be no reason to go back

Fun fact crimping connections are actually more reliable and secure than soldering so I picked up this stuff to add to my wiring drawer.

    I learned that yesterday.

And for some reason the truck smelled like a crayon.

    So I bought this:

And let it run for Ann hour inside the truck and sure enough, 95% of the smell is gone.

It's pretty amazing....you just set the timer to leave the truck alone and come back when it's done.

Time for a nice stroll in the park.

Stay tuned for some possibly nice crimping and electrical repair work.

One small step in the right direction.

Really Gunna have to dig through the rest.

Everything else will probably be just proper wire securement.

    One can only hope.

Man what a day. Got the interior wiring taken care of plus a few leads to the batteries. Had to pull out my handy dandy lug crimper

    Will take more pictures tomorrow.

Step 1 almost complete. I redid about 90% of the crimps done. Gotta fix the fuel pump wiring and she will be good to go. No more doubting there will be an electrical fault anywhere

It's reasons like this I will tear through any electrical wiring to make sure I have safe and secure connections.

Well buttoned the interior up and I thought I knew what brittle was my God.

Kind of hard to show everything.

I'm pretty sure I removed about 50 lbs worth of zip ties.

Now I pulled everything out and untangled everything and then taped it all up in accordance to what wires go where.

Then I started removing this air brake stuff that was used for trailer connections. This is about the same time where I went from clean and pretty to down right filthy.

I traced the trailer brake connector back to here.

I cut the wires off and had to make a decision to leave the t tapped connections alone or crimp it back together... Well I crimp it back together.

So I crimped them back up.

Then I used some really nice friction tape to wrap it back up like OEM.

Then after that I started working on the fuel wiring issues.

What is funny is 90% of the crap is bad wires or exposed?

So I am reposting this pic again....but that black thing on the right is actually a fuel tank switch.

I figured that out after looking it closer and noticing only one wire went to my external tank and then one other random wire was connected to the harness.

I pulled all that crap out and crimped the yellow wire to the harness and boom. It worked.

I still gotta clean up all that wiring. That will be tomorrow.

Almost got all my possibilities of electrical faults gone LOL leads.

    Dumped the aftermarket headlights.

To be honest they put out a pretty decent light but they looked like crap and the harness on them was a nightmare.

I like the stock headlight look better.

It's a Dodge RAM doesn't need flash. I'll do a proper retro fit with these headlights.

For now, just knowing my chances of an electrical problem with my headlights dropped greatly. The harness on this thing was intense.

Would like to get the OEM grill.

I am itching to get the front end flames removed but I keep watching the dollar bills stack up when tryin to collect the material to do it.

I really would not mind just sanding to metal and putting epoxy primer over it and leave it be.
