    What is the going rate for getting headstuds Installed?

    Do you need to or just want to?

    If you're re-building, I don't believe it's a whole lot more than head bolts.

    Some, maybe, but not enough to get excited about. I could be (and probably am) wrong about that.

    But I think the factory uses bolts for ease of assembly.

    I've been told that. I was told about Santa Claus, too so I've lost some faith in people.

    I've only put them in when doing a rebuild so I don't know.

    But a safe bet would be whatever the rate for cylinder head R&R is.

    I've read some people replace them one at a time, pull a head bolt, put a stud in.

    Never done it myself.
