    Battery maintainer

I have a new 2019 Ram 2500 diesel. I have a NOCO GENIUS10, 10-Amp Fully-Automatic Smart Charger, 6V And 12V Battery Charger, Battery Maintainer, And Battery Desulfator With Temperature Compensation. My truck will be sitting unused for a longish period of time so I intend on plugging this in to my Ram to keep the batteries maintained. Is there anything wrong with this plan?

Nothing wrong with your plan. Your smart charger/maintainer can be left hooked up to one battery indefinitely and will keep both batteries charged.

    I agree with @AK Bob
I do recommend plugging it into a light bar that has a trip if the power surges.
I had lighting strike the power pole and threw a large charge through the lines that really screwed up the charger. Enough that it was lightly smoking when I walked out into the garage.
If I had it on a power surge bar, it would have saved my battery trickle charger.
The power surge unit I later bought only cost $20.00. And I would not have to buy another trickle charger.
    Just an FYI.

RZ: I do the same... There are days were my Ram sits in the garage for 7-10 days - never started.

I have installed Nocos easy plug & play adapters permanently installed on my drivers side battery & my Noco Genius G750 permanently mounted to the wall - plugged into a wall mounted surge protector... $40 total investment.

Noco has some very high quality adapters that make this install & operation so fast & easy & at a really decent cost.

Plugging in takes about 2 minute.

Its just piece of mind - going out in those bitter cold days - knowing your batteries are actually fully charged.

Got the idea from my uncle whose OEM batteries have lasted generally 8-10 years using this method. (With all his 5.9L & 6.7L motors over the past years)
