    Thanks!!

Yeah, I think I will miss the EB in the mountains but I will say that the 8sp trans really performed well.

The swuat is not as bad as it looks in that picture.

I'm going to adjust the hitch a bit and see how it goes.

    Traded In The Truck Today...

    Very nice!

I recently about had a brain fart and drove brand new half ton Chevy with a 6.2.......everyone I know with one says they pull great, with great power, and great fuel mileage!

So I'm at this dealer lot, not even interested in the looks of any 6.2 they had, and he says to me do you wanna just drive one.

I said sure and he tossed me the keys. I went a few miles east to a county road that went south and upon turning I wanted to throw the coals to her and did.

I seriously thought the floor mat had to be wadded up under the pedal or something LOL. It wasnt!

I turned around right away and drove back.

That's when I noticed the nicest truck in the whole lot was mine also.

I txt a few of my buddies with the 6.2 to giggle at them. Kinda a long story here for no reason LOL, but I had researched the 2500 Hemi a but too.

I never seen any local with 4.10s, and I'll bet that things a beast down low.

They are still solid front axle though, right?

So as much as I love that reliability, I just gave up on the ride.

    But very nice truck!

I've heard the same about the 6.2.

The owners say they're a beast, but that's because they didn't drive anything else first... LOL.

'19s are basically a '18 underneath so yeah, solid axle and all.

I waited a long time for my local dealer to get one with 4:10s.

I jumped on it as soon as it hits the lot.

I know I'm losing a bit of MPGs but many this thing pulls off the line like a beast!

    I traded for a 2019 2500 Laramie Longhorn with the 6.4L HEMI, 8sp trans and 4.10 gears.

I am amazed at the power and throttle response of the new power train.

    All in fun, of course.

I always tell people that diesel may not be the right choice unless they plan on towing heavily.

They are spendy to maintain / repair.

We got a nice trade-in at work, crew cab Laramie 4WD; I was certain it was a diesel with the HD badging, 2500; get over there to eyeball it and see the Hemi badge.

I did check that domain; it's available.

    I appreciated the ribbing.

I got plenty when I first made the move.

After four years, I am pleased with the Hemi/8-speed transmission combo.

We have made several trips with the camper around the Western NC and East Tennessee mountains in the last two years, and it has never lacked the power needed to keep us moving at appropriate speeds.

I miss the exhaust brake sound, but the gear limiting of the transmission does a great job of keeping speed in check going down those long grades with minimal braking.

My only complaint is the fuel tank.

I don't mind the 8 mpg I get pulling the camper, but the 32-gallon tank limits the range.

TransferFlo has a 50-gallon replacement tank in the works.

I love the idea, but I am unsure I can justify spending 2-3 trips a year.
