    Exclamation Engine Brake issue!

    Hey guys,

So quick run down what i have going on.

I fully deleted the truck and when doing so i had a light fall down and break the exhaust pressure sensor off up by thermostat housing.

I ordered a new sensor and I went to make sure things were all good.

At idle if I try to turn the exhaust brake on it engages instantly and stays on.

Once you turn the brake off its fine.

No codes being thrown and I haven't used the brake in awhile so i can't recall it doing this before but I am pretty sure this is not right.

Do I have a faulty new sensor maybe?

My '14 (deleted) and '19 (stock) will use the exhaust brake with the switch on to help warm up until the engine is warmed up some.

It also deactivates it when any amount of throttle input is given.

After about 5 seconds of no throttle it will reactivate. If that's what you have going on I'd consider it normal.

Is this similar to yours or is it constantly engaged with the switch on even when warm or a throttle signal received?

If you're turning it on with a cold truck then it's probably staying on to help the truck get warm quicker.

Go for a drive and get the truck up to temp(about 190*) then turn it on.
