& I agree with what has already been posted - Just be careful & go slow - These deals like you are about to embark on - Has a ton of head scratching things to think about and hundreds of questions to ask.

I haven't found to many dealers that I would trust with a purchase like this... I think I would ask or demand to see the actual new engine paperwork (attempt to match up actual numbers).
My Trust Factor with Salesmen or even Dealership Managers is almost non existent these days - Lying & Cheating loyal customers these days are written in their CREED!

In this day & age - I refused to buy a Used Diesel from a Dealership - If I new the owner I might buy from a 1 person owner.
With Me - Trust and Respect has to be earned! Its just not handed out!

    Good Luck

The 2010 trucks are pretty straight forward.

They do have EGR which is easily upgraded.

Good choice on the 6 speed manual.

As with any used rig I always go through and change all the fluids to a quality product first thing, that way you know it's done and done right.

    Re: New Here

    Thanks for the help folks.

I agree that trusting a dealer 2k miles from me is on the odd side but with my budget is what I’ve got to work with.

I’ll ask for the paperwork before I get a ticket out and will ask the dealer to guarantee me a ticket home if the truck is not as promised.

The truck has been deleted. I need to ask about the tuner right?

Lots of head scratching I agree.

Financing might as be fallen through though.

Will have a final answer this week.

    Thanks!

    Re: New Here

    Thanks folks.

    Financing fell through.

I had to go through family and my uncle said he would be very hesitant to lend money on a truck that far from home that was deleted without knowing who tuned it.

    So the search continues.

He wants me to look for a 5.9 liter engine.
