    2014 Limited Heater Core/Evaporator Completed

    Tackled the heater core/evaporator yesterday.

The total time was about 5.5 hours start to finish.

Wasn't too bad of a job at all. The toughest parts were getting the rear floor vents off of the air box and back on and getting the hose clamps back on to the heater core.

I did it because I didnt have good heat on drivers side. It was running about 65 maxed out and the core developed a leak and was giving off an antifreeze smell in cab.

Check all actuators and they were good.

    All back to good now.

Before I swapped out the heater core and AC evaporator on mine I watched the Motor City Mechanic videos on YouTube and they were very helpful.

Without those videos I would have spent hours looking for all of the hidden bolts and fasteners!

It's such a shame that Chrysler didn't put cabin air filters in these trucks to begin with.

Here's a picture of how my evaporator looked at 125k miles.

    That's a good video.

Pretty close to what my truck had.

Wish I had found it sooner. .
