    Tuning an Aisin Truck?

So I have gone back through all the threads and haven't seen anything specific to the Aisin trucks, however I see in peoples sigs that there are a few out there that are tuned.

I am interested knowing how the truck behaves, any issues with the trans? Does the EB and Tow/Haul function still work like factory?

I just don't want to lose the functionality of the trans and such.

Its one of my favorite parts of this truck.

I pretty regularly gross between 20-40k.

    Thanks in advance

Tuning works the same except there is no way to tune or modify the Aisin trans to deal with the extra power.

When I first start out and I am not quite up to normal temp it shifts kinda sloppy, usually get a big flare shifting from 3rd to 4th.

Once its good and warmed up I have no real issues. Shifts pretty normal.

Mine seems to like the higher hp tunes once warmed up but not everyone has the same experience I have.

The prevailing thought I am seeing is the Aisin is more for towing whereas if you want something to race around with you get a built 68RFE.

As long as you don't go crazy too often I doubt you will notice much difference in the trans just a lot more power if you find the right guy to tune it.

No loss of functionality and transmission shifts same as stock.

I would not run over +120 HP due to stock head stud limitations.

You will want to tow with the +30 HP to keep the EGT’s in check.
