Get a pencil & paper ready! There truly is ALOT to consider - Towing Safely especially if towing down interstates and turnpikes is serious business...
Many fine folks can be instantly effected if something goes wrong.

Yes sir, I agree. I've hauled heavy equipment and flatbed for 10 years before getting into the elevator trade. I've seen what can happen to people through negligence. I will be new to towing tounge wieght in a medium duty truck. I can promise though, if I have questions or concerns I will be asking y'all.

How much weight and how often you plan to tow could be the deciding factor.

I want a pull behind around the 9k to 12k range.
I am going to an RV dealer here in March to take a look.
I will be daily driving the truck unloaded most times hopefully camping 6 to 7 times during the year.

In my opinion ... there is no sweeter motor to pull with than the Cummins!
I’m now on my second one. if you’re looking for a bumper pull camper in that weight range... it’s gonna be LONG!! LOL.
Our current bumper pull is classified as a “27 footer”.
Measures 31 feet ball to bumper and it only weighs 6500 dry. (And it’s not the ultra-light fiberglass).
