Trans Noise when the Trans Shifts to Final Drive

I bought a 2018 Ram 2500 Megacab with 9k miles on it two weeks ago.

I previously owned a RAM 3500 with the Aisin trans so this is my first 68RFE unit.

I have noticed a few times that running around town (35~mph) when the trans shifts to it's final drive (dang near lugging) that it will sometimes make a shudder or slight squeak noise.

Is this typical or should I take it into the dealer for it?

Still has warranty in tact (for now).

    Thank you for your advice!

I know many people hear/feel a little bit of a clunk and shift flare with the transmission but the squeak sound does not sound normal.

Probably wouldn’t hurt to get it checked out.

I agree with Clayton- the rise in RPM before the shift which is the shift flare you are likely aware of is normal but the noise sounds a bit off.
