    Transmission problem

I had my transmission serviced a few days ago and somethings not right. It will lunge or it surges when stopped and in gear forward or reverse. Other gears/speed it seems fine. Any ideas? 68RFE 2012 Ram 2500 Going back to the shop in the morning.

Wonder if they put enough fluid back in?

Yes. Might be a little over full at Cold. Haven’t driven it to get it hot enough to check on hot.

    How many miles on it?

    Serviced as scheduled?

Auto trans don't deal well with too little or too much fluid as both will cause problems.

One big sign of low fluid is foarming or bubbles on the dipstick and its not good for the clutch packs.

    Overfilling is just as bad.

If the fill level is OK make sure they put the correct ATF back in it as these newer autos can be sensitive to that as well.

    I hope it's something simple.

Looking forward to reading what you find.

    It’s got 116,000 it’s been fine.

I keep everything serviced as it should be.

I’m thinking it’s got to much fluid in it.

Gonna find out tomorrow I hope.

Too much fluid won't cause that. I wonder if they used the right fluid.

Not sure. It’s back at the shop. He said he would get Mopar filter and fluid. He used Napa filter and fluid.

    That might be the problem.

Seems like a lot of people have problems when using Non-OEM filters, most people recommend OEM filters for the transmission and nothing else.

I have had this happen 2 times the 1st was a split filter and the 2nd time the filter spout came out of the rubber 0 ring going into the valve body.
