    OEM Coolant

Can anyone tell me what is the OEM coolant used by the factory?

I cannot find it anywhere and I'm worried about mixing the wrong type of coolant trying to top off my system.

    Thanks.

    It should be OAT coolant.

Comes in 50/50 premix or concentrate.

X2 for OAT- if you get it at oriley or one of them places then look for the heavy duty coolant- black bottle with a couple 18wheelers on the front.

    Re: OEM Coolant

My overflow reservoir has been leaking and I just got the new one in to replace and figured I would double check the forum to make sure I am using the correct coolant (I have been adding Valvoline Zerex G05 for a little while now when the low coolant light comes on).

Looking at the bottle again, I just realize that I should have mixed 50/50 and have not been. Oops.

My question is, will this cause any issues if I just do the 50/50 mix after I replace the reservoir? Should I go have the system flushed? My coolant temperature has been good, sitting around 190 when up to temp (oil temp is usually 10 or so degrees above coolant temp).

Well after a little more research, I think the last jug I had was 50/50 already, bit the most recent I added was concentrated. I believe I didn't add enough to cause an issue.

I may still go ahead and flush or drain the coolant. Is the G05 good to use? It is a HOAT instead of OAT. Can I use it to refill my system until I go to the stealership to flush?
