    Engine Code new VGT Turbo

Installed BD Screamer with new actuator that was precalibrated before install.

All of my bad turbo codes are gone except the u010 bad communication to turbo.

Anyone know where to start? I have put back to stock file and reuploaded my DRD tunes. No engine brake still.

Checked connections and everything appears okay.

Checked fuses that were recommended m51 and 37.

    Any input would be great.

I would like to know also. That’s the only code I have on my stock set up. I’m just assuming my stock actuator is bad which is most likely the case.

I don’t know what model or year truck you have, but thought l would share the information that I have from Mopar Tech Authority for my truck. Hopefully this will be of some help to you or others. U010C Lost Communication with Turbo.pdf

Check all of the wiring. Also check the wiring all the way back to the nox sensor by the tailpipe. Even if you deleted, the wires are still there and can be shorting out on the Frame due to poor recall work.
Last, check for codes in all of the modules as a code in one of the other modules may be causing it to set.

Are your tuning files for an aftermarket turbo?

Ray told me that it wouldn’t matter with the aftermarket VGT. The tune would be the same. As long as I stayed with a drop in VGT, he wouldn’t need to re tune.

What year is your truck? Did you get the correct actuator?

It’s a 2010 2500 G56 truck. I ordered the bd screamer with actuator already mounted and calibrated. I did have the code prior to install, but I figured it was just the old worn out actuator.

    How old are your batteries?

These trucks do not do well with weak batteries.

If they're older I'd suggest having them load tested while you try to figure this issue out. There is also a chance that your new actuator is bad. I'd check every fuse that I could get to, unhook my batteries for 10 minutes, reset codes via MM3. If that doesn't work then I'd load test batteries individually(replace BOTH if one is bad) then see if BD has anything to say about.
