    Cluster Lighting Nightmare

    So, over the past few weeks my truck's cluster (2011 2500 Laramie Longhorn) lights have randomly been turning off and back on again. Not the entire thing, just random spots, (upper tach, lower mph; etc).

    They won't stay off, sometimes I'll get lucky and every one will be on no issue at night, other times I might have one or two illuminated gauages. Haha.

    My questions are;

    Is this a common issue?

    Are the LEDs replaceable? Plug in or soldered in?

    I tried to search for this subject and couldn't find anything.

    So if anyone has for some random reason snatched out their cluster hit me with some o' dat knowledge please.

    Re: Cluster Lighting Nightmare

    I would check your MM3 connection to the OBD port.

    I had this issue a couple times with my 17.

    Sometimes it would just be the dash, the main dash would stay on but it would be the screen lit up but not show any of the sub areas on the screen.

    This would at times also effect the MM3 monitor and not turn off.

    I had similar issues on past cummins with OBD connector so I cleaned it, checked it and now run a zip tie around the DRD connector and haven't had this happen since.

    So worth a shot to check out.
