For the past few days, I’ve noticed that my coolant temps are running about 10 degrees cooler than what they normally run (usually 202-203 - now running around 190-192 @65 mph no load).
Also used to see the max temp on the RaceME Ultra for the coolant at 208-210, then the thermostat would open up and it would drop to 202.
Today, it got to 199, then dropped to 189, then stayed around 192.
I do have a small leak (but only when cold) around the O-ring on the EGR cooler delete (where the “burp” screw is). But I can’t see how that would cause the temp differences.
So, is the thermostat failing partially open?
I don’t think it’s full open as truck warms up as quickly as before.
Thanks in advance!
Bob
