Parking Brake and Traction Control Light On

I have a 2012 2500 with 43,000 miles, egr and DPF deleted, MM3 tuner, DRD.

Yesterday while driving my parking brake light and traction control lights kicked on and now won’t go off. Parking brake light is solid, not flashing. ABS light is not on. Brake fluid level is between min and max. Braking is fine and truck drives normal. Parking brake is not engaged. However I have no cruise since the traction control light is on. Checked all fuses that I thought would relate to ABS/TC/Parking Brake and they are fine. Mm3 tuner and a scan tool don’t show any codes. I have no idea what it could be. Might have to have a dealer look at it but I thought I’d check here first. Any thoughts?

Do you use the parking brake often?

Try engaging it and lifting up on it with your foot when you disengage.

Check brake fluid level as well.

Could also be a wheel sensor if I’m not mistaken?

I had a parts store run a code and it is saying “brake fluid low” C1009. The reservoir is at the full mark now. Not sure why that code is coming up. Maybe a sensor?

I don’t use the emergency brake that often. First thing I did was lifting it up with my foot. Topped off brake fluid. I figured if it was a wheel hub senser then the abs light would be on as well.

Agreed with above, check the parking brake switch also.

Could also be a wiring or connection issue.

If you have access to AutoEnginuity Scan tool you could check for specific diagnostic trouble codes in the ABS module.

Otherwise a trip to the dealership for diagnostics may be necessary.

    Please keep us posted.

Could be a faulty sensor then yes sir.

If I remember correctly if it reads low it will or can throw a couple lights on the dash such as the ones you describe.

I have also heard of someone getting a re-flash done on the truck and it fixed it.

These are definitely not easy to figure out but start with cheapest and easiest and to from there.

Hopefully it’s as easy as a sensor.

Update: Installed a new brake fluid reservoir since the sensor is inside of it.

Also flushed the system with new fluid.

    No code now.

    Hopefully that was the fix.
