    6.7 Turbo Replacement

So it's come time for me to replace the turbo. Only 105k and the VVT is just T now. That's another rant. I got a new and improved replacement from BD with the actuator installed and wondering if anyone has any tips for the removal/installation. Thanks in advance

Take your time and be patient. Try not to cuss it too much LOL! Shouldn't be too bad of an install.

LOL I've got a couple jars of apple pie shine waiting just in case things get too frustrating.

I'm no stranger to engine work but this is my first diesel and first turbo so outside my comfort zone here.

But I figure, I got three days off to learn something new.

OK ya'll this thing is kicking my butt.

How the hell do I get this turbo off the exhaust manifold?

I could barely get that first nut off have absolutely zero clue how I'm going to get the other freaking three.

I've not done it myself but heard someone unbolted the manifold and brought it out together.

    I'm not sure though.

Someone that knows will chime in.

For some reason, that PDF isn't working for me.

And looks like I gotta make a wrench because I doubt have time to wait for the thing to show up LOL.

PB blaster will be your friend if it’s not already.

As mentioned before pulling the manifold with turbo is how I’ve done it but I was replacing manifold as well at the time.

    Keep us posted.

I had to log in via the web for the PDF.

    Thank you for that.

Now, just to update, I got them all off!

After seeing that tool you shared I remembered curved box end wrenches.

So off to the Harbor Freight.

Picked up these guys. Just so happens my 1/2" drive fit perfect in the 14mm side!
