The OTP cable is the one that connects under the hood then to the control box.

It is often referred to as the unlock cable for the 2018's. it is a big 4 pin connector near the intake horn and a small 2-pin in the control box.

Confirmed that the OTP cable to the ECM needs to be connected to monitor engine parameters (with the exception of the EGT temp.) and not have to reconnect the OBD connector and agree to terms on every startup. Hoping the DRD tuning pros can update that in future software update. Once tuned, I just wanted to use the MM3 as a monitor like the EDGE or Banks and not have it connected to my ECU. Hope this helps.

Hmmm... this doesn't sound right to me. Mine's a 2012, but I didn't even connect the otp cable until I updated to switch tuning. The obd cable handled downloading tunes and monitoring all parameters. I added the otp cable to switch tunes on the fly. It's also required to unlock the ecm on 2013 and newer trucks.

Th-64: my MM3 is on a 2015 Ram 2500, it's a single black box model approx. 2 months old with the current software. With the ECM connector disconnected, I DO get the various eng. parameters but only after I replug the OBD connecter and agree to terms, every restart. Sometimes at new start up, I have to press the screen to wake up the screen and then agree to terms. If I don't replug the OBD connector the eng. parameters with exception of the EGT, are all n/a. With the ECM connecter plugged in, everything works perfect as it should. I believe this is the same issue 'hschuchard' was having.

    Gotcha.

I had a buddy with a RaceME Ultra with a similar issues.

Ended up being the USB connection was a little loose and wobbly.

I wrapped a zip tie around the controller and USB right by the connection so it couldn't move.

    That fixed it for him.
