    Highway Shake

I'm not sure if this is suspension or tire related so here goes...

I have Toyo Open Country MT 35x12.5R20's on a what I think is 4" suspension lift. I bought it like this so not positive what has been done suspension wise.

On the highway I have some pretty strong vibrations to where the empty seats shake, I see the hood shaking and my kid goes "whoaaaaaaaaa" so he can hear his voice vibrate LOL. I'm not sure if it's related to the tires, the rotation/alignment needs, actual suspension, etc. If anyone has some feedback to help me steer(no pun intended) in the right direction, I'd appreciate it!.) I attached a video showing the shaking of a water bottle since that's the only stationary object in relation to my vibrating arm.

Do you notice it at certain speeds or all speeds? Sounds like a wheel weight was thrown off causing a balance issue.

It could be either or possibly a driveline issue. Do you know if it has an adjustable track bar or steering stabilizer?

It's at most freeway and main city street speeds, but "hood rattling" upwards of 80mph

I do not know. Is there an area underneath I can look and send a picture of? I don't think there's a stabilizer, never seen one down there that I can recall

What year is it? If it were me I'd start with the basics. Get the tires balanced, aligned and u-joints checked and then go from there.

2014 2500. Question... if the tires were improperly worn, such as from improper alignment, would an alignment fix the issue or would the tires being in bad condition make it vibrate perpetually until the tires were replaced?

At one point in the past, I had a flat and only cash available to replace two... so the front two tires are maybe at 60% and the rears I'd say 20%. Not sure about the quality of the tire though in terms of even wear.

Is your tires cupping on the outside or inner edge of your tires? When was the last time you rotated them?

If I had to guess based on pure visual inspection I'd say three are cupping slightly on the outside, and the front driver slightly on the inside.

Last time I had a rotation I do not know.

I would get them rotated and balanced and have them check and make sure the belts didn’t separate inside the tire(s).
While they have it up in the air check your wheel bearings, check your drive shaft and U-joints.
