    Smarty Touch Tow tune

    Good afternoon!

I just purchased a Smarty Touch for my 2004.5 Dodge 3500. 6 spd. manual transmission. South Bend clutch.

Stock on the engine and turbo.

Running an Air Dog lift pump/filter combination.

I did some research on what guys are running for everyday use. Setting 5 and 2 on the other 3 options.

Anyone on here have information on what settings they run for towing?

I would do 1 or 3. The odd numbers use timing to get HP whereas the even numbers use even more fuel to get HP numbers. EGTs in theory would be lower with odd numbers.

Thanks! Good to know. I will definitely try those to the next couple times we tow and see what works the best. Would be nice to gain some MPG while towing to the dunes!

You should see better MPG with odd numbers but they're are many variables. When you try those report back and let us know how they worked for you.

    Will do!

Haven't really driven it yet with the tuner.

Will be taking it on a small drive tomorrow with no trailer.

I maybe taking the trailer unloaded here on Xmas Eve.
